On August 12 at 7:00 AM, a certificate change performed by one of our partners caused failures in two of our services: card creation and card option updates. Although the partner had announced that both old and new certificates would operate in parallel from August 10 to 15, the old certificates were deactivated on August 12th. Since our systems had not yet integrated the new certificate, calls to the affected endpoints failed.
After internal investigation and coordination with our partner, we updated the certificate configuration in our systems. This restored normal operation for card creation and card option updates.
The incident was caused by a lack of synchronization and communication regarding the partner’s certificate change.
We are taking measures to strengthen coordination with our partner and reduce the risk of similar incidents in the future.
